Wood you be mine?

Do you remember the part of sex and the city where carrie goes up to a shoe in a display window and says, “hello, lover“? Well, that was me in front of these wood picecs of furniture. I seriously wanted to drag one of these out with me. something about those thick, dark chunks of wood contrasted with the bright white powder-coated steel bases just got me.

George Washington Smith, (February 22, 1876 – 1930), was an American Architect and painter. He is noted particularly for his work around Santa Barbara, California, and for popularizing the Spanish Colonial Revival style in early 20th Century America.

THINGS WE LOVE!!!

Alexander Girard's wooden dolls that were recently re-issued by the Vitra Design Museum. Girard first created these dolls in 1963 when designing artwork for his Santa Fe home. Each doll is individually packaged in its own wooden gift box.

Here is a great desk organizer by Vincent Mallory of Sueno Design. Simple yet elegant.

This calculator by Amadana is by far one of the coolest looking calculator's on the market. Had I had this in High School I would not have done so bad in Calculus!
